Step 1: Accurate Measurements Come First

Every solid countertop starts with proper measurements. Before any material is mixed, we carefully measure the kitchen layout, cabinet width, counter depth, and sink placement. This step ensures the countertop fits perfectly and avoids unnecessary adjustments later.

Precision at this stage saves time, materials, and cost.

Step 2: Formwork Setup

Once measurements are confirmed, we build a strong form using plywood or form boards. This mold defines the final shape, thickness, and edges of the counter.

All joints are sealed properly to prevent concrete leakage. We also make sure the form is level and well-supported, since concrete has weight and pressure once poured.

Step 3: Reinforcing the Countertop

To strengthen the countertop, we install steel reinforcement inside the form. This reinforcement helps:

Step 4: Mixing the Concrete

Step 5: Pouring and Levelling

The concrete is poured evenly into the form and spread carefully to fill all corners. We then level the surface and remove air pockets by tapping or vibrating the form.

After pouring, the concrete is left to cure properly. We do not rush this stage. Proper curing allows the concrete to gain strength and prevents premature cracking.

The countertop is kept covered and undisturbed while it hardens.

Once the concrete has set, the formwork is carefully removed. This reveals the raw concrete countertop. At this stage, we inspect the surface and edges for any minor imperfections.

We then smooth the surface and edges using grinding and finishing tools. This step improves appearance and prepares the counter for sealing.

Sharp edges are softened, and the surface is made ready for everyday kitchen use.

Concrete is naturally porous, so sealing is essential. We apply a concrete sealer to protect the countertop from:
